EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
Application in the
prescribed form are invited from eligible local candidates for
filling up of 150 posts of Accounts Clerk/Junior Storekeeper under
Sikkim Subordinate and Accounts Service in the revised pay
structure in Pay Band-I corresponding to pay of `5200-20200 and
grade pay of `2600 plus other allowances as admissible under
the rules. The period of probation shall be regulated as per
Notification No 476/GEN/DOP Dated 06/09/2011. The vacancies and

Age Limit: Must
have attained the age of 18 years but should not exceed 30 years of
age as on 30.06.2012. For schedule tribe and schedule caste
candidates the upper age limit of 30 years is relaxed by another 5
years and for OBC/MBC candidates by 4 years. Similarly upper age
limit is relaxed by 5 years in the case of in service candidates in
regular establishment.
2. Education Qualification: Class X passed and
above from any recognized institution with
Mathematics as one of the subject in matriculation.
3 Other Qualification:
(a) Should be conversant with anyone of the local
languages (Bhutia/Lepcha/Nepali) and must have knowledge of Culture
and Tradition of Sikkim.
(b) On appointment to the post, they are required to
complete the basic computer application course recognized by the
State Government from the Department of Electronics Accreditation for
Computer Course (GOI) or certificate of successful completion of at
least three months diploma course from any recognized institute in
their own cost.
4 Mobile
Phone and other similar I.T. Gadgets are banned in the Premises of
examination Centre and unauthorized use of the Mobile Phone and other
I.T. Gadgets shall disqualify the candidature.
5 The
selection will be made through Open Competitive Examination and
Syllabus of the written examination is as under:
One paper of 100 marks for two (2) hours.
a) Arithmetic
b) General
English
c) General
Knowledge and
d) Basic
computer knowledge.
6 The
candidates who qualify in the written examination as per the norms
prescribed by the Committee constituted for the purpose will be
called for the viva-voce test.

Candidates on selection to the post shall
be posted to various Block Administrative Centers and other offices
located in the District Headquarters and Sub-Divisions, and no
request for transfer on any ground shall be considered within the
period of 3 years from the date of appointment to the post.
8 Candidates already in service
should apply through proper channel.
9 The
date and venue of the written examination will be notified in due
course.
10 Interested
candidates should obtain prescribed forms from the Finance Revenue
and Expenditure Department, Secretariat Office, Service Section on
working day from 11 am to 3 pm from 16th
July 2012 to 31st
July 2012 on the production of bank receipt for `100/-
deposited under the revenue head “0070-Other Administrative
services, 800- Other receipts – cost of Application form.
Application complete in all respect along with attested photocopies
of the documents must reach to the Finance Revenue and Expenditure
Department on or before 18th
August 2012.
11 No
T.A/D.A shall be paid for attending the written examination as well
as viva-voce.
The form should be accompanied by the following
attested documents without which no application will be
accepted/entertained.
1.
COI/SSC/Domicile certificate. In case of unmarried women, unmarried
certificate issued by competent authorities to be attached.
2.
Mark sheet/Certificate of Degree from a
Recognized University. The Mark sheet/ Certificate containing date of
birth of the applicant.
3.
Date of Birth certificate ( as per
school leaving certificate)
4.
Valid Local Employment Card in case
of unemployed candidates
5.
Category Certificate,
SC/ST/OBC/MBC/PWD/SPAE as the case may be.
6.
In case of in-service candidate NOC from
Head of Department/Head of Office.
7. Incomplete
forms shall summarily be rejected.
8.
Admit cards for the written examination
will be issued only to those applicants whose application is found
complete in all respects.
